Kaijju Wars: Anguirus

“This monster was killed by Kraken on his first mission *Tshhhhhhhk*, but the humans brought it back.” Tohr Sheik said, “His body is filled with a series of cybernetic implants that are keeping him functioning. Most interesting is the AI that oversees the system.”
“An Artificial Intelligence?” Kronos narrowed his eyes skeptically, “I didn’t know the humans were that advanced.”
“*Tshhhk* Neither did I,” Tohr Sheik rasped, “But it seems they are. The monster is unconscious, *Tshhhhhhk* but the AI is listening in on us right now.”
They were quiet for a moment, and then Kronos said, “AI, can you hear me?”
The AI chimed in, “I apologize for eavesdropping on your conversation; it’s in my programming to learn as much as I can about Anguirus and I’s surroundings.”
“Do you know who we are?” Kronos asked slowly.
“...No.” The AI finally responded, “My processors were damaged during the battle with Orga.”
Kronos nodded thoughtfully, “Tohr Sheik, leave us. I wish to speak to the AI alone. And turn off your audio receptors”
Tohr Sheik nodded, “Of course my lord.” And the spider mech scampered back into the ceiling.
Kronos turned back to Anguirus, “AI, what is your primary function?”
“To keep my host alive; Anguirus at the moment,” the AI responded, “And to protect the Earth.”
Kronos was quiet for a moment before responding, “And how exactly do you carry out the latter?”
“By killing Kiliaak.”
Grinning, Kronos said, “AI, I think we can help each other.” He opened his wrist communicator and punched a message to Tohr Sheik, “Reactivate your audio receptors. Arrange for Kraken and Anguirus to be brought to the operating room, and meet me there. We have work to do.”

Anguirus awoke in a haze. His body felt like it was on fire, but the pain was dulled. He was also surprised to find that the presence in his mind was gone. Something was…off about him. His limbs weren’t right, and his eyes were gone. Keening in pain Anguirus tried to figure out where he was when he heard a voice.
“*Tshhhhk* The modifications are complete. The AI and its systems are now inside of Kraken, and while it will keep him alive I cannot predict the effects it will have on his mind.”
The voice was followed by another one, this one deeper, yet with a slight lisp, “Excellent, and the earth monster?”
The raspy voice continued, “His modifications are complete, but understand that his body is falling apart. That’s what happens when you slap every piece of cyber-mods we have on a now rotting corpse.”
“No matter,” the deep voice continued, “I only need him for one big distraction.”
“Ah, we’re continuing our campaign against the humans?” The raspy voice asked.
There was a crunching noise, and the raspy voice squealed. “No, I had something else in mind. Monster, I know you can’t understand me, but I need this laboratory destroyed. Try and make as much noise as possible will you?”
Suddenly Anguirus felt a surge of adrenaline and dopamine pumping through his veins. He stood up and let loose a roar, a deep guttural sound without his lower jaw. Crackling with electricity he curled into a ball and launched himself forward, intent on causing as much destruction as possible.

Kronos grinned as he watched Anguirus go berserk in the other room. He flicked the remains of Tohr Sheik off of his knuckles, and turned towards Krakens prone form, “Kraken, can you hear me?”
Slowly Kraken’s eyes opened. The AI weakly answered, “Yes, he can hear you, but he does not recognize.”
Kronos stepped back, briefly stricken with grief. Quickly he recovered, “No matter, he’ll remember me soon enough. Come Kraken, the earth monster should give us time to complete our task.” He turned and left, Kraken dutifully following behind him.

Anguirus was an unstoppable force. Lashing out with electric blasts and smashing everything in his path, the Kiliaak couldn’t hope to stop him. Suddenly the enormous room went silent save Anguirus’ roaring; slowly every Kiliaak fell to their knees,
Ra’Kash-Ter’Aga had come to save them.
Apocalypse teleported directly in front of the rampaging kaiju and lashed out with dark tentacles, only for them to slam into the walls as Anguirus bounced between them. The monster leapt up and slashed into Apocalypse’s face. Forcing his way into Apocalypse’s body Anguirus began ripping apart his insides. Apocalypse shook with pain, and looked at his twisting stomach in shock. He couldn’t believe that this disgusting kaiju was actually hurting him. With a roar he ripped open his stomach, dumping an intestine covered Anguirus to the ground.
The wound sealed itself up instantly, and Apocalypse leapt back and pinned the thrashing Anguirus to the ground.
{You disgusting abomination; where did you come from?} He forced his way into Anguirus’ mind, but he found nothing but rage inside.
{You aren’t even alive anymore; the only thing keeping you fighting is machinery and chemicals.}
Anguirus heard none of this, overcome with blind rage he kept thrashing.
{Your struggles are in vain, just as they were when you were alive. Sleep now, and prepare to enter the void once more.}
Apocalypse stretched his mouth wide and devoured the thrashing kaiju. He was slow, taking care to inflict as much pain as he could, but finally there was nothing left of the former earth titan.
Siel-Kha’s face came on one of the nearby screens. “My lord, the monster came from Kronos’ laboratory. The treacherous snake destroyed the technology and fled!”
Apocalypse spat out a particularly hard to digest chunk of metal. {I knew Kronos would not serve me, his betrayal comes as no surprise.}
Siel-Kha was quiet for a moment, but then slowly asked, “Shall I give the order for Gigan to kill him?”
{No.} Apocalypse answered, {Let him hold the illusion that he has won. Let him think that he has somehow managed to outsmart me. Then, right when he believes victory is his, I will crush him like the worm he is. Hope is a dangerous weapon, Siel-Kha, for when taken away it destroys like no other.}
Siel-Kha nodded in awe, “Truly you are the wisest leader the Kiliaak have ever known.”
Suddenly a Kiliaak messenger burst into Siel-Kha’s chambers, “My lord! Kronos has stolen the teleportation matrix!”

BIO: Anguirus' final incarnation is a husk of its former self. It's body has long since been dead, yet it continues to be brought back from the brink. It has almost no cognitive functioning, and merely thrashes about like a monster gone mad. Its body crackles with electricity, not by its own will however, and will shock anything it touches. Its body is pieced together from all available cybernetic implants and armor available to Kronos at the time of Anguirus' final life. This creature was never meant to live longer than a few moments, just long enough to make a distraction...

{What's up everybody? I'm just going to post this one a day early 'cause I love all of you guys!
