Kaiju Wars: M.O.G.U.E.R.A.

A concussive blast blew the shadow kamakurai off of Kiryu. The horde paused and looked at a massive figure in the distance. Yashiro, still injured, weakly asked, “Joseph?”
The voice boomed back, “Sorry to disappoint little dragon, but it is I, DMITRI KORSIKOV!!!” Leviathan grinned, “I remember this man.”
The mobile gunship M.O.G.U.E.R.A. stood triumphantly in siege mode at the edge of the city. “MY FRIEND,” Korsikov boomed, “PROTECT HER.” Leviathan jumped up and ran over to Kiryu. His gems glowed and projected a green bubble around the two. “ALRIGHT MEN,” Korsikov boomed again, “FIRE!!!” Then M.O.G.U.E.R.A. fired all 55 of its weapons at once. Rockets, reverse engineered Kiliaak plasma, human lasers, the heavy maser cannon, and good old fashioned massive artillery shells turned the battle field into a miniature sun. The heat and force of the explosions smashed against Leviathan’s shield, but it held strong. After a solid minute of bombardment M.O.G.U.E.R.A. ceased its attack. The smoke cleared, revealing a localized wasteland. The remains of the shadow kamakurai littered the ground, a few larger chunks still twitching for a few more seconds. M.O.G.U.E.R.A. slowly converted out of siege mode and wheeled over to Leviathan and Kiryu. “It is over my friends, you can come out now.”
But as M.O.G.U.E.R.A. rolled over the charred corpses the ground under it began to shake. Suddenly a final shadow kamakurai burst out of the ground and leapt right at the massive tank. The bug was too close for any of M.O.G.U.E.R.A.’s weapons, and it was coming too fast for the mech to retreat. But Korsikov just grinned and grabbed the two metal gloves on his control panel. Taking control of the two drill arms at his side Korsikov plunged the spinning drills into the charging bug. “LIEUTENANT,” he roared, “ACTIVATE THE ELECTRIC FIELD!”
M.O.G.U.E.R.A.’s hull crackled as the electric field came on line. The bug began sparking and smoking as the drills spun their way deeper into its body. “PATHETIC CREATURE,” Korsikov shouted, “MY DRILLS ARE THE DRILLS THAT WILL PIERCE THE HEAVENS! AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, YOU! JUST WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AAAAAAAAAM?!?!” With a final roar Korsikov turned the drills together, and tore the bug to pieces.
Leviathan and Kiryu looked at the mech with stunned admiration as it rolled over to them. Yashiro fumbled to get Kiryu to its feet and said, “Major General, thank you for your assistance. We would have surely perished if not for you.”
Korsikov laughed and said, “It’s no trouble little dragon, I could not let a fellow GDF pilot fall to the alien horde.” He turned M.O.G.U.E.R.A.’s head towards Leviathan. “And you Leviathan,” he said, “It is good to see you again; truly you have proved yourself a friend to all mankind.”
Leviathan looked away shamefully, [I have hurt far too many to agree.]
Korsikov jolted a little at Leviathan’s voice in his head, but then he snorted and waved M.O.G.U.E.R.A.’s drill dismissively, “True, you did destroy my childhood home,” Leviathans head dipped lower, and Korsikov continued, “but your mind was not your own. Since then you have risked your life time and time again to defend humanity. Think of how many lives you saved today when you came to Kiryu’s aid. Were it not for you she would be dead, and the city overrun. That alone absolves you of your crimes, and I haven’t even mentioned your actions against the Kiliaak. You are a noble creature, and I am glad to call you my friend.”
Leviathan looked up at him slowly and said, […Thank you…my friend.]
M.O.G.U.E.R.A. then turned towards Yashiro. “It is good to see you again little dragon.” Korsikov said tenderly, “It has been a long time.”
She nodded, “Not since you pinned my pilot badge on me. I have heard of your exploits, Sensei, you have been doing well.”
Korsikov chuckled, “There is no need to call me that. You are my equal now.” Yashiro beamed. “But there is no time for pleasantries my friends,” Korsikov said gravely, “These shadow creatures are not a random anomaly, the Kiliaak have returned, and they have changed themselves. They’re hitting our command centers hard; a widespread alert was put out before the entire communication network went down. I was on my way to America when I heard your distress signal.”
Yashiro’s eyes widened and Leviathan growled. “There’s been no word from command?” Yashiro asked slowly, “What do we do?”
“We fight. It is all we can do. I am going to Area 51; they went dark just before command did.”
Yashiro gasped, “Are the Davis siblings alright?”
“That is what I was investigating. Come with me, we need as many mechs fighting as possible.”
Yashiro nodded and turned to Leviathan, “Will you come with us?”
Leviathan grinned, [Of course.]

NAME: M.O.G.U.E.R.A.
HEIGHT: 100 m
WEIGHT: 100,000 tons
FACTION: GDF

BIO: The GDF's land-based battleship has been refitted with more weapons and ever before. boasting a grand total of 58 ways to ruin a kiliaak's day, this is the most heavily weaponized structure built by man. M.O.G.U.E.R.A. can fire a salvo of 36 missiles at a time, 20 in the shoulder mounted pods and 16 in the lower body. These missiles explode on impact, and are guaranteed to bring the pain. Alongside the missiles are 6 double-barreled laser turrets, firing short range laser projectiles. The heavy maser cannon in her chest can only be used in siege mode, and fires a hyper-powered beam of pure energy. The BattleMech has three drills used in close quarters combat. two large drills set in the arms, and a smaller one in the face (this is mostly for show, as there are few situations that call for it's use) finally, M.O.G.U.E.R.A can enter a state called "siege mode" in which the chest opens up to allow the maser cannon to extend, its head sinks back, and both sets of missile pods extend foreward, and three stabilizing arms extend to brace the BattleMech against the ground. in this form, M.O.G.U.E.R.A can fire over very long distances and use the fullest extent of its arsenal. M.O.G.U.E.R.A is able to cross continents by sealing all openings and simply rolling through the ocean. though not agile, the BattleMech can move fairly fast when necessary. His top speed is 120 miles per hour, it just doesn't corner well.

Oh man, I love this guy. Though Major General Korsikov has been in the story previously, he didn't have quite as much screen time as he deserves. Dmitri is a 53 year old man, highly decorated and legendary for bravery in combat and his work piloting M.O.G.U.E.R.A in the past. He was one of the chief figures in Yashiro Akane's youth, training her for her future in the GDF. As such, he is almost like a second father for the young pilot, and always refers to her as "little dragon" after her mech. The words he is speaking are russian, and translate to "who the hell do you think I am?" The GDF has been busy in the three months of silence, and they have outfitted M.O.G.U.E.R.A with even more weapons than before! Also, though showing just the front here, M.O.G.U.E.R.A still has the same build as before, with an extended lower body like a tank for stabalization. Expect more of this guy in the future.
