MG: Kyoto the Android!

Years ago, a scientist created a robot to be an aide to care for her in her old age, and named her Kyoto. This robot was designed to be a reflection of the scientist from when she was young, and was simple and only intelligent enough to carry out simple tasks. However, after years of working and learning from her creator, as well as being improved over the years, Kyoto became more and more advanced. One day, the robot became a true self-aware artificial intelligence, much to the surprise of her creator. Since then, Kyoto has been a friend rather than a servant to her creator.

Kyoto is intelligent and curious, always seeking to learn more about the things around her. Ironically, she prefers fantasy stories to scifi. As she puts it, "scifi is everyday life for me. Orcs-and-elves stories are much more interesting." Thanks to a photographic memory, she can recite the entire LOTR book trilogy. Her hands are designed to transform to complete a variety of tasks, and she probably has a death ray hidden away somewhere.

I've wanted to try a new character for a while now, and I eventually settled on a robot girl! I decided to make her japanese, since I haven't made a japanese character yet, and many human-like robots are being developed in Japan these days. Her name, Kyoto, actually means "Mirror"Right now she's not wearing much, but I decided to do that because I liked her mechanical design and didn't want to cover all of it up with a more modest outfit. Maybe next time I draw this character, I'll try a fancy kimono or something cool. enjoy!
