That's right, you heard me correctly.  I've been dancing on the edge of this announcement for a long time, and the day has finally come!  You can consider Shadows of Vin-Tahng to be a prologue, and both "First Contact" and "The Boy Out of Time" to be the first two chapters of this new story.

1000 years after the events of the Kaiju Wars, humanity has spread to the stars.  They are not alone, joined by the Ganshii, a spacefaring race that allied with humanity to defend against the long quiet Kiliaak empire.  This golden era of peace is shattered with the discovery of Tel-Aora, a planet orbitting a neutron star devoid of mana.  When intelligent life is discovered, the Vanguards fear the return of Apocalypse, or others like him.  Returning to the public eye for the first time in centuries, the Vanguards, along with the talented mecha pilots, Toyozo Shoji and Kira Takala, set out for the distant planet, determined to ensure it does not become a threat.  

     On Tel-Aora, however, no one has ever heard of apocalypse, and have no idea of the conflict heading their way.  A young Vayl named Yb will be forced to rise to the challenge, alongside the ancient guardian R'Ka.  Will the Vayl be able to coexist with the Sol Alliance? Or will this millennia of peace be shattered by War?
